Corrections Policy

At STUPA, accuracy is fundamental to our journalism. We are committed to reporting the facts fairly, independently, and responsibly. Despite rigorous editorial standards, errors may occasionally occur. When they do, we are committed to correcting them promptly, transparently, and in the public interest.

Our Commitment

Every article published by STUPA is reviewed before publication. However, if new information becomes available or an error is identified, we will take appropriate action without unnecessary delay.

Types of Corrections

Minor Corrections

Minor errors that do not affect the overall meaning of an article—such as spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, or typographical mistakes—may be corrected without a formal correction notice.

Significant Corrections

If an error affects factual accuracy, quotations, names, dates, locations, figures, or other material information, the article will be corrected and a correction note may be added to explain what has changed.

Clarifications

If an article is factually correct but may be misleading or lacks sufficient context, STUPA may publish a clarification to provide additional explanation without altering the original facts.

Updates

News develops over time. Articles may be updated to include new verified information as events unfold. Such updates are not considered corrections unless they address an earlier factual error.

Retractions

In rare circumstances where an article contains substantial inaccuracies, ethical violations, or information that should not have been published, STUPA may remove or retract the article. When appropriate, a public notice explaining the reason for the retraction will be provided.
