Losing Her Job Changes Katia’s Life in Agensi Rumah Tangga

STUPA NEWS, Losing her job becomes the beginning of a new chapter for Katia in the upcoming film Agensi Rumah Tangga. Rather than giving up, Katia makes a decision that leads her into the world of domestic worker recruitment.

Directed by Naya Anindita, the film is scheduled to hit Indonesian cinemas on **September 10, 2026. The story is adapted from the best-selling novel by Almira Bastari, with the screenplay written by Upi and Ayu Anggraini Putri.

In the story, Katia, played by Enzy Storia, finds herself in a difficult situation after losing her job. With financial responsibilities, including paying her mortgage, she decides to try her luck as an agent who helps connect domestic workers with households.

However, her new career turns out to be far more complicated than she expected. Katia encounters various personalities and challenges arising from the relationship between domestic workers and the families they work for.

The situation becomes more complicated when Katia develops an emotional connection with the domestic workers she represents. They gradually become more than just part of her business, eventually taking on a role similar to family in her life.

This puts Katia in a difficult position. She must choose between fulfilling her mother’s expectations of finding a more suitable job and maintaining her relationship with the people she has come to regard as family.

Adding to the appeal, the story is presented through a comedic approach. The film features seven female comedians: *Ummi Quary, Musdalifah Basri, Neneng Wulandari, Boah Sartika, Priska Baru Segi, Nury Zhafira, and Mega Salsabila*.

Their presence brings a distinctive sense of humor to the story. The challenges faced by Katia and the other characters are portrayed through amusing situations while still maintaining the dramatic elements of the film.

In addition to Enzy Storia, Af­gansyah Reza joins the cast as Kafka. Other actors appearing in the film include Fita Anggriani, Ardit Erwandha, Yunita Siregar, Unique Priscilla, Tike Priatnakusumah, and Nada Novia.
