PA GMNI Jakarta Raya Outlines Four Priorities to Oversee Pramono-Rano Administration

STUPA.sbs ■ The Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian National Student Movement Alumni Association (PA GMNI) said it will monitor the administration of Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno through four strategic policy priorities aimed at advancing public welfare.

The commitment was announced by PA GMNI Jakarta Raya Chairman Miartiko Gea during a national symposium titled "Historical Reflection and Reinforcing Marhaenism for People's Sovereignty," held in Jakarta on Saturday.

Miartiko said the role of GMNI alumni extends beyond supporting Pramono and Rano during the Jakarta gubernatorial election and includes overseeing the implementation of policies to ensure they serve the public interest.

The organization's four priorities include supporting the development of apartment complexes integrated with public transportation and commercial areas, promoting equitable solutions to land disputes, expanding green open spaces to support sustainable urban development, and proposing a parliamentary hearing with the House of Representatives' Commission II to discuss Jakarta's future status as Indonesia's capital.

According to Miartiko, the initiatives are intended to help promote a more inclusive, sustainable, and socially just development agenda for the capital.

The symposium, held to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the Indonesian National Party (PNI), featured PA GMNI Chairman Arief Hidayat as keynote speaker and brought together academics, national figures, and GMNI alumni from across Indonesia to discuss the relevance of Marhaenism in addressing contemporary national development challenges and Jakarta's future.
