LIN East Jakarta Branch Registers with Kesbangpol, Seeks Stronger Cooperation with City Government

JAKARTA, Indonesia — The East Jakarta branch of the Lembaga Investigasi Negara (LIN), a civic organization, has formally registered with the East Jakarta office of the Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik (Kesbangpol) as part of efforts to comply with administrative requirements and strengthen cooperation with the local government.
LIN East Jakarta Chairman Abdul Gofur said the registration was intended to establish communication and cooperation with the East Jakarta municipal administration.
"We came to Kesbangpol to fulfill legal requirements and build cooperation with the East Jakarta city government," Gofur told SuaraNegeri.co.id on Friday (Aug. 21).
The registration took place on Thursday (Aug. 20) and was attended by several members of the LIN East Jakarta leadership.
The delegation was received by Endah from the community organizations division of the East Jakarta Kesbangpol office.
Endah said registration by community organizations was important to facilitate government oversight and coordination, strengthen cooperation and ensure proper administrative compliance.
"Kesbangpol appreciates community organizations that proactively register as a demonstration of compliance with the law," she said.
She said Kesbangpol served as a coordination platform for community organizations operating in East Jakarta. Registration would also make it easier for the local government to communicate with organizations and involve them in development and social programs.
Gofur said the registration marked an initial step toward building constructive communication between LIN and the local government.
"We hope the communication and cooperation that have been established can continue to improve, particularly in supporting activities that benefit the community," he said.
LIN National Leadership Welcomes Move
Separately, LIN national chairman Robi Irawan Wiratmoko welcomed the East Jakarta branch's decision to register with Kesbangpol.
Robi said the move demonstrated the local leadership's commitment to maintaining proper organizational administration and complying with applicable regulations.
He encouraged other LIN regional and branch offices that had not yet registered with their respective local Kesbangpol offices to follow the same step.
"We hope this positive move can be followed by other regional and branch leaders who have not yet registered their organizations with Kesbangpol in their respective areas," Robi said. (Gusti)
