Indonesian Primary School Strengthens Educational Partnership with Malaysian Counterpart

STUPA NEWS ■ JAKARTA — SD Islam PB Soedirman has strengthened its educational partnership with Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jalan 3 Bandar Baru Bangi in Selangor, Malaysia, through collaborative programs aimed at enhancing learning quality and expanding global exposure for students and teachers.

The collaboration, held in Selangor on July 22, builds on a partnership that has lasted for more than a decade. Joint activities include cultural exchanges, collaborative learning, the sharing of educational best practices, and the development of teaching innovations involving educators and students from both schools.

Edhy Sumarno, principal of SD Islam PB Soedirman, said the partnership forms part of the school's efforts to prepare students for the challenges of an increasingly globalized education landscape while preserving cultural values and character development.

"We hope this partnership will continue to grow and provide lasting benefits for both schools while strengthening ties between Indonesia and Malaysia through education," Edhy said in a statement.

The Indonesian delegation was welcomed by HJH. Suminah Binti Haji Kasolang, headteacher of SK Jalan 3 Bandar Baru Bangi, along with teachers and students, during a meeting focused on expanding cooperation between the two institutions.

Both schools said they are committed to broadening the partnership through innovative programs involving educators, students, and other stakeholders in the education sector, with the aim of strengthening students' global competencies while promoting cross-cultural understanding.( Gusti Haes)
