GBRAN NTT Intensifies Preparations Ahead of Jokowi's National Safari Visit

KUPANG ■ STUPA NEWS — The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Executive Board of the Gerakan Berani Nusantara (GBRAN) has intensified preparations ahead of the National Safari visit of Indonesia's seventh President, Joko Widodo, which is scheduled to take place in NTT on July 31, 2026.

Charles Kopong Koten, Chairman of GBRAN NTT, said the organization's regional leadership continues to coordinate with local branches to ensure the visit runs smoothly.

"President Jokowi's visit is an important moment for us. It reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of all GBRAN members across East Nusa Tenggara," Charles told SuaraNegeri.co.id on Tuesday.

According to Charles, coordination is being carried out with the GBRAN provincial board as well as local chapters in Kupang City, Kupang Regency, and the Timor mainland to finalize preparations for the National Safari program.

In addition to welcoming Jokowi's visit, GBRAN NTT is preparing for its provincial declaration event, scheduled to take place in Larantuka, East Flores Regency, on September 12, 2026.

The event will also include the inauguration of GBRAN district leadership boards and the official handover of appointment decrees (SK) to local chapters throughout East Nusa Tenggara.

Charles expressed hope that either Joko Widodo or Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka would attend the event.

"It would be a great honor for the people of East Nusa Tenggara and the GBRAN family if President Jokowi or Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka could attend our provincial declaration," he said.(hd)
